The mission of the post-graduation course in Odontology of the School of dentistry at the Federal University of Uberlândia is to capacitated the student to be a professor by acquiring skills in order to act in a critical and intergraded way in the dental clinic and research initially at the lines of research offered by the course. The mission of the pHD course is to train the students with deepening academic knowledge and qualified to carry out independent, advanced and original research, focused on the current trends of the program's research lines and also, working with companies, in the development and improvement of dental products. The student will be able to act in a socially compromised way, in higher education, in industry and research institutes. Furthermore, the pHD students requires to be able to develop teaching, research, extension and technological innovation and supervision activities.
